The Parti indépendantiste (PI) (in English: Independentist Party) is a political party promoting the independence of Quebec from Canada. ==History== The party was founded in 2007 by Éric Tremblay and Richard Gervais, in the aftermath of the Parti Québécois's defeat in the 2007 Quebec election.
